OTTAWA (UPI) -- Jacqui Sjonger, who owns a dog daycare facility in
Canada, has planned an elaborate wedding and honeymoon for a pair of
Yorkshire terriers.

The Ottawa businesswoman has planned the event for her dog Reuben, who
is "engaged" to a terrier named Fifi, which belongs to one of her
clients, the Toronto Sun reported. The celebration will feature an
actual wedding ceremony along with a corresponding reception and
honeymoon.

The event is set to be attended by over 50 canine guests and overseen
by an actress performing the role of a justice of the peace.

Sjonger said she came up with the ceremony and its related rhinestone
engagement bone as a joke after seeing the dogs together, but it
quickly became a reality.

"She took to him and he took to her," she told the paper. "They're
just like an old married couple. They have disputes and then they
snuggle."
