Fox News and Reuters have been reporting on how three undersea cables
off of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have been cut in recent
days. Although this has disrupted telephone and internet communication
in much of the Mideast Iran's internet access has apparently been cut
100%. And does the US Navy have the ability to cut these kind of
cables, which are very heavy duty and not easy to cut or damage at
all? Yes. In fact, the US Navy is known for the ability to cut these
cables, place special eavesdropping equipment on them, and then seal
them up again, so they would also have the ability to just sabatage
them. The idea that ships' anchors could completely cut these cables
is far-fetched, and it will take anywhere from days or weeks to repair
them. So what does this mean? See http://www.rense.com/general80/mid.htm

I was skeptical when the first two cables were cut by "dragging an
ships anchor" but a third cable in a different area was a coincidence
beyond belief. The previous cable break needed an earthquake!

INDIA was hit the hardest by the "cut" cables in the Mediterranean, if
you can believe the early media accounts. Whether the Egypt and UAE
cable cuts are related to India's is not clear. Yet.
