Hello there,

The last day or so it seems that news.aioe.org is down. Does
anyone know what is going on?

At this time, his transit is functional (i.e. the system is exchanging
articles with my server, a peer).

Thanks for the response.

My nntp server was unable to peer with nntp.aioe.org beginning
about 10 pm last night (EST), and www.aioe.org was unavailable.

Beginning not too long before 5 pm today it looks like things have
come back up.

It seems to be down again.

I've tried a few times in the last 24 hours with no success, and can't
connect to their website, either. Anyone know what's up?

I don't know what's going on, but can confirm the news server has
been unavailable for the past day or so.

Seems to be back up now. A hardware problem was reported on
another newsgroup (nanau) as now being fixed.

this is perhaps a little off-topic but I can't get onto the web site
either.
My network connection is a little unreliable (that's the price of
living
in rural New Zealand) but I've been on it before so I suspect that
they're
having more than one problem.

AIOE is down while the admin is changing co-location facilities.

Thanks for the info. Any ETA on coming back up that you know of?

Has anyone new information what is going to happen? It seems to be
still down which is quite
annoying. Or could anyone recommend an alternative free newsserver?

Many thanks
