So we had heard about the Sarah Palin Troopergate scandal, where Palin
was trying to get her brother-in-law fired as a state trooper and when
someone wouldn't go along with it he got fired. And as mayor that
Palin had fired her small town's librarian and police chief. She had
actually supported the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" until it was
obvious it couldn't pass, but has already lied about that twice,
saying she said "Thanks, but no thanks" in response to that. We had
heard about her daughter, known as a "party girl," who is five months
pregnant at 17, and Sarah was apparently trying to keep that quiet
until after the election. About how Bristol Palin's 17 year old
boyfriend uses a lot of profanity on his Myspace website and doesn't
seem to be the least bit a Christian. About how Todd Palin had been
arrested at 22 for drunk driving. The National Enquirer claims they
have a source that says Sarah Palin had an affair with her husband's
ex business partner. But then she supposedly gave a great speech at
the Republican National Convention so we should just forget all the
earlier stuff because she gave that great speech. It turns out,
though, that she didn't even write that speech herself. It was written
by Matthew Scully, former speechwriter for President Bush. The same
one that gave us the "Mission Accomplished" speech and other speeches
that falsely painted Iraq as having weapons of mass destruction
leading up to the US invasion of that land that caused the deaths of
hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians. Scully, strangely
enough, is an ardent opponent of hunting while Palin supports even the
most brutal varieties of it such as "aerial hunting." Yes, Sarah Palin
was nicknamed in school as "the Barracuda" while McCain was nicknamed
"McNasty" so they might make a good pair.
